Small diving cylinders are increasingly used in diving to transport gases (argon, helium, oxygen). This 1 liter steel cylinder with a 300 bar working pressure can be used for all common gases and gas mixtures. Due to the higher pressure, a larger quantity of gas is available at the same volume, making this cylinder suitable not only as an argon storage cylinder for filling a drysuit, but also as an oxygen cylinder for first aid after a diving accident, or as a bailout/stage cylinder in technical diving. In a rebreather, this steel cylinder can be used as an oxygen or diluent gas cylinder. The SH valve is identical in construction to the S valve, but with a horizontally oriented outletthe shut-off and outlet lie on a common horizontal axis.
