The UV protection shirt is ideal for divers, snorkellers, swimmers, paddlers, and many other watersports enthusiasts, as itunlike sun creamsoffers constant UV protection even when wet.

This lightweight and quick-drying lycra top has been specially developed for sun protection at the beach and during watersports, but can also be worn very well as an additional base layer or aid for putting on a wetsuit. Thanks to the long sleeves with thumb loops, it makes dressing easier and prevents chafing at the neck.

How does the fit of the Scubapro UV protection shirt turn out?

The -fitting cut is perfect for all watersports as it always ensures a secure fit and will not ride up in the water to leave your back or neck unprotected.

It is also ideal for wearing under a wetsuit, as the snug fit ensures no annoying folds form under the neoprene. The thumb loops make it easier to put on and provide extra hold.

Does the rash guard shirt also provide thermal protection during watersports?

The rash guard shirt protects your skin from sun, wind, and light mechanical effects, but it is not designed for thermal protection. For thermal protection during watersports in cooler water, we recommend suitable neoprene clothing, which you can also find in our online diving shop.

You can choose between 2 to 3mm neoprene shorties or thin neoprene shirts, shorts, or 0.5mm to 1mm neoprene overallslightweight neoprene clothing that offers both thermal protection and freedom of movement, ideal for swimming, surfing, snorkelling, triathlon, and similar watersports.

How easy-care and durable is the lycra sun protection top?

The lycra sun protection top is chlorine-resistant, retains its shape and colour even after frequent use, and is easy to clean. It dries quickly and remains comfortable to wear even after many uses.

For long-lasting sun protection, however, we recommend hand washing only and gentle dryingdo not spin or tumble dry.
