Filters on breathing air compressors contain filter granulate consisting of activated carbon for filtering oil vapors and molecular sieve for drying the breathing air. The quantity used in the breathing air filters corresponds to approx. 1/3 activated carbon and 2/3 molecular sieve.

The manufacturers of breathing air compressors therefore specify the service life of the breathing air filters for their breathing air compressors in the operating instructions.
