This diving tank valve is also known among divers as the SH-valve. In this valve, the valve handle and the outlet connection are horizontal, at a right angle to the tank axis. This special form of the diving tank valve is used where there is no space upwards, i.e., in the extension of the tank axis. This is particularly the case with rebreathers. Due to the special design of the diving tank valve, it can be installed so that the handwheel protrudes from the housing of the rebreather and can be operated from the outside during the dive.
