Aluminum diving cylinders are a classic in technical diving as stage cylinders. Like all technical equipment, aluminum diving cylinders have advantages and disadvantages. One of the main advantages is that aluminum cylinders are neutral in water, while they have some buoyancy when empty. This makes them almost unnoticeable as stage cylinders during a dive. The disadvantage is the greater weight outside of the water compared to equally sized steel diving cylinders. The 11-liter aluminum diving cylinder is large enough for longer deco times of one to two hours. The cylinder of the diving bottle has a diameter of 184mm. The polished surface provides a high-quality appearance, completely without a sensitive coating. Aluminum naturally has corrosion protection.
