This high-quality complete set includes the Aqua Lung LEG3ND MBS regulator together with a practical regulator accessory package offering a strong price-to-performance ratio. It consists of a precise 400-bar pressure gauge, a robust rubber inflator hose and a padded regulator bagyour smart solution for a complete regulator configuration.

Regulator first stage with ACD and Dry Kit

  • Diaphragm-controlled, over-balanced brass construction
  • Dry Chamber to protect the moving components
  • Patented ACD system (Auto Closure Device)
  • 2 high-pressure and 4 low-pressure ports
  • Angled ports for clear hose routing

The first stage of the Aqua Lung LEG3ND MBS is diaphragm-controlled and over-balanced. This provides a consistent air delivery at different depths. The two high-pressure and four low-pressure ports are positioned at an angle to simplify hose routing and allow for a tidy configuration.

The Dry Chamber protects the moving parts of the first stage from direct contact with cold water by means of a diaphragm. This makes the first stage suitable for use in cold water, as it helps prevent ice crystals from forming inside the stage. At the same time, the system helps extend the service life of the first stage by protecting it from contamination.

The ACD system closes the inlet when the regulator is removed from the cylinder. This helps reduce the risk of water and contaminants entering the first stage.

Regulator second stage with MBS for enhanced breathing comfort

  • Pneumatically balanced second stage
  • Patented Master Breathing System for precise adjustment of breathing comfort
  • Adjustable breathing resistance and Venturi effect
  • Heat exchanger around the valve mechanism for cold-water use
  • Robust, corrosion-resistant construction with stainless-steel front ring
  • 29-inch Aqua-Flex braided hose and ergonomically shaped Comfobite mouthpiece

The second stage of the Aqua Lung LEG3ND MBS is a pneumatically balanced second stage equipped with the patented Master Breathing System (MBS). It coordinates and balances the airflow and inhalation resistance to support comfortable breathing. With a simple adjustment, you can control the Venturi effect and breathing resistance at the same time and adapt them to the prevailing diving conditions.

A heat exchanger around the valve mechanism supports heat transfer and is intended for use in cold water. The housing is made from robust, corrosion-resistant materials. The flexible 29-inch Aqua-Flex braided hose and the small, ergonomically shaped Comfobite mouthpiece support comfort during the dive.

Aqua Lung octopus for cold-water diving

  • Pneumatically balanced alternative air source with comfortable breathing performance
  • Heat exchanger around the valve for cold-water use
  • Venturi lever to help reduce unintended free-flow
  • Yellow hose and yellow purge cover for high visibility

The Aqua Lung LEG3ND octopus serves as an alternative air source and is pneumatically balanced for consistent air delivery at different depths. The integrated heat exchanger supports its suitability for cold-water use. The Venturi lever helps reduce the risk of unintended free-flow when entering the water while the octopus is not in use. The yellow colour makes it easier to locate and identify in an emergency.

Precise 400-bar pressure gauge with clear display

  • Displays cylinder pressure up to 400 bar
  • Easy to read thanks to a fluorescent display with black markings and Lexan lens

The Slim-Line pressure gauge displays cylinder pressure up to 400 bar. The white fluorescent display with clear black markings is easy to read even in reduced visibility. The impact-resistant plastic housing protects the brass capsule, while the shatter-resistant Lexan lens provides additional protection for the display.

Robust 65-cm inflator hose with standard connection

  • 65 cm long with a flexible and robust construction
  • Standardised 3/8-inch UNF low-pressure connection and standard quick-release coupling

The 65 cm inflator hose connects the regulator to the inflator of your buoyancy compensator. The standardised 3/8-inch UNF connection is designed for regulators with the corresponding low-pressure connection. The standard quick-release coupling allows connection to most commonly used buoyancy compensators.

Practical padded regulator bag for secure transport

  • Padded bag to protect the regulator during transport
  • Long, adjustable shoulder strap and sufficient space for a complete cold-water regulator set

The padded regulator bag protects your regulator and the other set components during transport and storage. The adjustable shoulder strap makes the bag easy to carry, while its capacity is designed to accommodate the complete regulator set.

Frequently asked questions about the Aqua Lung LEG3ND MBS Din+ Diving Regulator set

Is this regulator suitable for cold-water diving?

Yes. The first stage features a Dry Chamber that shields the moving components from direct contact with the water. The second stage and octopus are equipped with heat exchangers. However, at temperatures below 10°C, such as in inland lakes at greater depths, in autumn or spring, or in large bodies of water such as Lake Constance, the Baltic Sea, parts of the Mediterranean and mountain lakes, we recommend a complete cold-water configuration with two separate first stages.

What are the benefits of the MBS on this regulator?

The Master Breathing System coordinates the adjustment of breathing resistance and the Venturi effect. You can adjust both factors using a single control to suit the prevailing diving conditions and your requirements.

What are the benefits of the over-balanced, diaphragm-controlled first stage on this Aqua Lung regulator?

Because the first stage is diaphragm-controlled, water does not reach its internal components. This protects the first stage from moisture, the formation of ice crystals and contamination. It provides reliable performance in cold water and helps extend the service life of the first stage. The over-balanced design supports consistent and comfortable air delivery at different depths and cylinder pressures.

You can find more technical information about regulators in our regulator glossary or in the guide What is a regulator made of and how does it work?

Who is this regulator complete set suitable for?

The set is aimed at recreational divers looking for a high-performance, cold-water regulator with octopus, pressure gauge, inflator hose and transport bag. It is suitable for regular dives, including dives in cold, deep and demanding environments, as well as frequent use, for example by diving instructors.

Which connections does the first stage of this Aqua Lung regulator have?

The first stage has two high-pressure and four low-pressure ports. The ports are positioned at an angle to support clear and organised hose routing.

How often should the Aqua Lung LEG3ND regulator be serviced?

The regulator should be serviced every two years or after 100 dives, in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. Servicing must be carried out by a qualified technician, for example in our Scubaonline regulator service workshop. In addition, carry out a brief visual inspection of your regulator before every dive and a thorough check before each trip or after a longer period of storage. This check should include the mouthpieces, hoses, visible O-rings, signs of corrosion, the inflator hose coupling, overall tightness and the purge button.

How should the regulator set be cared for after diving?

After diving, rinse the regulator with clean water in accordance with the manufacturers instructions and allow it to dry completely. Protect the first-stage inlet from water and contaminants, transport the regulator in the padded bag and follow the recommended servicing schedule. More information about proper regulator care can be found in our guide Cleaning, maintaining and storing diving equipment.

Is the pressure gauge easy to read in poor visibility?

The pressure gauge features a fluorescent display with clear markings, making the cylinder pressure easy to read even in low-light conditions.

Can the regulator mouthpiece be replaced easily?

Yes. The mouthpiece on the second stage is secured with reusable clips. This allows it to be replaced easily and without tools, even at the dive site. Replacement mouthpieces are also available in our online dive shop.

Does the inflator hose fit every buoyancy compensator and every regulator?

It fits almost all commonly used buoyancy compensators, which are generally equipped with a standard quick-release coupling compatible with this inflator hose.

Regarding the regulator connection, the hose is suitable for all first stages with a standardised low-pressure connection. It features a 3/8-inch UNF thread in accordance with DIN standard EN 250 and is therefore compatible with almost all regulators.
