Diving cylinders with a small conical neck thread are rarely offered as new cylinders, but there are hundreds of these cylinders in stock, whether from the past or as used cylinders from the fire department. The European standard EN-144 regulates this cylinder neck thread. Even if some in the diving industry believe they know better, this cylinder neck thread is also one of the permissible cylinder neck threads for diving cylinders, storage cylinders and breathing apparatus regulated in DIN standard EN-144.
