Longer bottom times, less fatigue even with multiple dives a day, and often at no extra cost? Its all possible with Enriched Air Nitrox in your tank. Youve probably already heard about it and seen plenty of divers with tanks bearing those special green markings in most popular dive holiday destinations. But whats it all about?

Why dive with Nitrox?

Diving with Nitrox: what is it exactly?
Nitrox is a gas mixture where the proportion of oxygen is higher than in normal air. At the same time, the nitrogen content is lower, bringing many advantages such as longer no-decompression limits, shorter surface intervals, longer repetitive dives, and less fatigue due to lower nitrogen saturation in the tissues.

Nitrox for free is now offered at many dive centres abroad. This means you dont have to pay extra for the special gas mixture! However, every dive centre will want to see proof of your Nitrox training, i.e. a Nitrox certification card, before allowing you to dive with Nitrox. You can obtain this Nitrox certification here, in this course at our dive school.

So take the opportunity and learn the basics of Nitrox diving in Germany. Then youll be ready to go on your holiday!

How does the course work?

The course includes:

• Complete theory studied at home and one on-site theory session (including a final test), which takes place in the afternoon or evening, includes the practical training part of gas analysis and labelling, and serves as a review of the theory learned during home studysee the IMPORTANT information about the theory training below

Theory Training

During the theory training, the most important aspects from your home study will be reviewed. For example, youll be shown what special equipment you need for diving with Nitrox, how to analyse a gas mixture, the benefits of diving with Nitrox, but also the potential risks. Good preparation in advance is very importantplease note the remark below!

Where does everything take place?

The theory session takes place at our dive school in Ilsfeld.

• Diving certification card

What is included in the course price?

• Theory training including access to online training
• Certificate of completion

What are the course requirements?

• Diving licence (at least Open Water Diver)
• Minimum age: 14 years

IMPORTANT!

The theory sessions on site are only intended as a review of the theory learned during home study. The courses are designed so that, during the theory sessions with the instructor, only the most important aspects are discussed again and any open questions are clarified.
Please make sure you prepare thoroughly for the theory sessions in advance!
