Double diving apparatus or double pack with 2 x 18 liter diving cylinders is a diving apparatus for highest demands. With approx. 7200 bar / liter breathing gas supply is plenty of compressed air or Trimix available, for extended technical dives to great depths and long dive times, so bottom times of 40 minutes at 80m with such a diving apparatus have been carried out by ourselves. The weight of these two tanks requires that you stand on safe ground and strong feet. The diving jacket should also have a little more buoyancy. The best choice is a wing diving jacket with at least 27 – 40 liters of buoyancy. The normal diver can usually do without additional weights with this double diving apparatus.
