The 3-liter compressed gas cylinder can be used just like the 2-liter diving cylinder. It is particularly suitable for sport divers and technical divers who want to extend their dives. This cylinder is sufficient as an argon cylinder for filling the dry suit for dives of about 3 – 4 hours. When used in a rebreather, it extends the rebreather’s usage time by approximately 30% compared to a 2-liter cylinder. The 3-liter steel cylinder is also adequate as an oxygen cylinder in a rescue kit. The 3 liters of oxygen are sufficient for about 30 minutes of ventilation for an accident victim at 20 liters/minute respiratory minute volume.
