Diving cylinders with a small conical cylinder neck thread are rarely offered as new cylinders. However, there are hundreds of these breathing apparatus cylinders in stock, whether from the past or used by the fire department as breathing apparatus. The European standard EN-144 in conjunction with DIN 477 regulates this cylinder neck thread. Even if some in the diving industry believe they know better, this bottle neck thread is also one of the bottle neck threads for diving cylinders, storage cylinders and breathing apparatus regulated and permitted in DIN standard EN-144 for diving cylinders and breathing apparatus.
