Small diving cylinders are increasingly used in diving for transporting gases (argon, helium, oxygen). This 1 litre steel cylinder with a 300 bar working pressure can be used for all common gases and gas mixtures. Due to the higher pressure, a larger gas quantity is available at the same volume, making this cylinder suitable not only as an argon storage cylinder for inflating the drysuit, but also as an oxygen cylinder for initial care after a diving accident, or as a bailout/stage cylinder in technical diving. In a rebreather, this steel cylinder can be used as an oxygen or diluent gas cylinder. The SH valve is identical in design to the S valve, but with a horizontally oriented outletshut-off and outlet lie on a common horizontal axis.
